Arabic I
This course introduces the fundamental elements of modern standard Arabic language within the cultural context of Arabic-speaking people. Emphasis is placed on the development of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Upon completion, students will be able to comprehend and respond to spoken and written Arabic with grammatical accuracy and demonstrate cultural awareness. Arabic II
Improve upon the basic fundamental elements of modern standard Arabic language learned in Arabic I. Emphasis is placed on the progressive development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. This class focus on the language as it applies to daily survival and social needs such as reading and writing and understanding street signs, airports, restaurants, hospitals, shopping, culture, food, and geography. Upon completion, students should be able to comprehend and respond to spoken and written Arabic with increased proficiency while demonstrating further cultural awareness. Cost: $180

French Conversation I
